What We Believe About Backyards
A1 Austin Patio Covers started in 2012 with a simple observation: the patio is the room Austin homeowners want to use most and can use least. Builders hand you a slab and a fence. The sun does the rest. A well-designed cover, and often a screen, a fan and a light, turns that slab into the room you’ll use every day from March to November.
We also noticed how many patio covers were built badly: kits that didn’t match the house, structures that leaked where they met the roof, wood posts rotting in concrete, and projects done without permits that came back to haunt homeowners at sale time. So we built the company to do the opposite. Every structure is designed for the specific house, engineered, permitted and approved by the HOA before we build it. Every one carries our workmanship warranty in writing.
We build residential and light commercial: aluminum and wood covers, pergolas and louvered roofs, screen rooms and sunrooms, carports, outdoor kitchens, and the decks and slabs under all of them. If you need something we don’t do, we’ll tell you who does it well.
