Most homeowners tell us they use their screened patio more than any room inside the house.
The math is simple. Austin has roughly eight months of weather made for sitting outside, and roughly eight months of mosquitoes. A screen room gives you the first without the second, adds real square footage you use daily, and costs a fraction of an interior addition. Kids play, dogs lounge, dinner moves outside.
We build screen rooms on our own insulated aluminum covers and on existing covers, porches and pergolas with solid roofs. Kick plates keep dogs from pushing through, screen doors close softly, and solar mesh cuts glare on west-facing sides.

Screening an Existing Cover
If your current cover is sound, you may not need a new one.
We inspect the existing structure, roof and posts. If it’s solid and reasonably level, we build the screen walls to it, add a door and finish the details. If the cover has problems, sagging, rot or a leaking roof, we’ll tell you before you spend money screening it, and quote the fix or a replacement instead.

Can you add screens to my existing patio cover?
Usually, yes, if the structure is sound and has a solid roof. We inspect it first and tell you honestly whether it’s a good candidate.
Which screen mesh should I choose?
Standard fiberglass for most walls; pet-resistant on the lower panels if you have dogs; solar mesh on west or south walls to cut glare and heat; no-see-um mesh near water where tiny insects are a problem.
Do screen rooms need a permit?
Adding screen walls to an existing permitted cover often does not require a new permit, but a new screened cover does, and HOAs generally want approval either way. We check for your address.
Can a screen room become a sunroom later?
Yes, if we plan for it. We can build the frame so screen panels are swapped for glass later, turning a three-season room into a four-season one.
How do screens hold up in Austin storms?
Aluminum framing and quality mesh handle normal Central Texas weather well. Hail and flying debris can tear a panel; individual panels are inexpensive to re-screen.
